The day begins with a scenic drive inland to Uji i Ftohtë, a natural spring renowned for its crystal-clear, icy-cold waters that flow from the mountains of Tepelenë. Next, continue the journey to the UNESCO-listed city of Gjirokastër, often referred to as Albania’s “Stone City.” Famous for its beautifully preserved Ottoman-era architecture and steep cobbled streets, Gjirokastër is a living museum of Albania’s rich past. A professional local guide will take you through the historic old town, where you’ll visit traditional stone houses, browse the vibrant Old Bazaar, and get a glimpse into everyday life in centuries past.
